# Coordinating Metallic Epoxy With Your Space

A floor does not sit by itself. Coordinate metallic epoxy with the fixed finishes and furniture that shape the room, so the completed space feels intentional rather than assembled from separate references.

## Separate Fixed and Flexible Elements

Start with features that are expensive or inconvenient to change: cabinets, counters, tile, doors and built-ins. Then list the flexible elements such as rugs, movable furniture and wall accessories. This helps you decide which colors the floor should work with first.

If the space is still being designed, label each element as selected, tentative or existing. A tentative cabinet image should not quietly become the basis for a permanent floor decision. Keep the review tied to choices that are actually settled.

## Compare Large Areas, Not Isolated Swatches

The visual weight of a floor is different from a small color sample. Put a wide room image next to the flooring reference and consider the balance across the whole view. Large dark cabinets, patterned walls or reflective surfaces can change how prominent the floor feels.

Ask whether the floor should repeat a color already in the room, bridge two finishes or provide contrast. Choose one main job for it. Trying to match every material at once often makes the design brief less clear rather than more coordinated.

## Use Furniture Placement to Review the Pattern

Mark where the largest furniture or equipment will sit. Consider which parts of the floor will remain visible and which areas form the main walking routes. This makes it easier to judge how much movement or contrast you want in the open areas.

Do not expect a pattern feature to land at an exact point simply because it appears there in a reference photo. Discuss the overall direction and any practical design constraints with the installer. Furniture layout supplies context; it is not a map for reproducing a photographed floor.

## Keep One Review Set

Save the room photo, selected finishes and preferred flooring references in one place. Add a short note about the relationship you want between them. This is especially useful when several people are making design decisions at different times.

- Identify the permanent finishes that lead the palette.
- Label unfinished selections as tentative.
- Review the floor with major furniture positions shown.
- Describe whether the floor should blend, bridge or contrast.
