# Care Questions for a Finished Concrete Floor

An exposed finished concrete floor should have care guidance tied to its actual finish. Do not assume the instructions for a coated floor, bare slab or another property apply to the surface you have.

## Identify the Finished Surface

Ask what finish information should be kept for the completed floor and which instructions apply to it. Record the areas covered so the people caring for the building know whether different surfaces need different routines.

Appearance alone may not tell a new owner or cleaner what treatment the floor has received. Keep the project documents rather than relying on a description such as polished-looking concrete. Clear identification makes later care questions easier to answer.
